Designers Satutrday
Victor Vasarely (1906-1997)
The leader and originator of OpArt.
Designers Saturday was a major annual/biennial London event in the 1980s where leading designers, illustrators and artists including Vasarely, Joe Tilson, Eduardo Paolozzi and others would produce limited runs or artist proofs of prints which were gifted to VIP guests and participants at the event.
Sadly whoever received this screen-print put the name Vasarely on the bottom right hand corner in pencil. It is or was not intended as a signature and does not detract unduly from the image unless pointed out!
In it’s original 1980s frame. A small print with strong OpArt appeal.
